Mike Oliver Defeats Eric Hunter By First Round DQ

By Tim Kudgis via

After taking this fight on short notice Mike Oliver (26-5) put an end to his 3 fight losing streak but in controversial fashion.  In the first round, Oliver slipped and Eric Hunter (17-3) caught him with an illegal shot virtually knocking Oliver out.  Oliver was given 5 minutes to continue but was unable too resulting in a DQ loss for Hunter.  The winner via DQ and New NABA featherweight champion Mike "Machine" Oliver.

In the co-main events Hassan Young (4-1-1) proved he is a top prospect in the city of Philadelphia despite having blemishes in his career early.  Young and Julio Dejesus (8-4-3) went back and forth early but around the 3rd round Young took over decimating the veteran Dejesus.  Dejesus showed tremendous heart and determination.  Young beat Dejesus without mercy for rounds 4 & 5 but Dejesus kept coming forward.  Finally Dejesus' corner stopped the fight after the 5th round leaving Hassan "Hitman" Young as your winner via TKO.

Of course...that is the only way Mike Mike can win, he is such a worthless fighter. He and his entire team should QUIT boxing and something new like rugby or cricket. Leave boxing to MEN!!!
