Mike Jones Stops Munoz in Two, Eyes Pacquiao Bout

By Peter Ciani

Philadelphia, South Philly Arena - Welterweight contender Mike Jones (25-0, 19 KOs) knocked out Raul Munoz (21-14-1, 16 KOs) with a big right in the second round of the contest. Following the conclusion of the bout, Jones, the mandatory challenger to Manny Pacquiao's WBO title, said he was ready for the fight.

“I am waiting for the phone call from Bob Arum. If anything happens to Marquez on July 16, I will take the fight with Pacquiao. He is such a great warrior. Let’s see how he deals with my right hand. I am much more confident now and am ready for big fights," Jones said.

Junior welterweight Yordenis Ugas (8-0, 4 KOs) scored a fourth round knockdown to pick up a six round unanimous decision over Kenny Abril (11-4-1, 6 KOs). The scores were 59-54, 59-55, 60-53.
Jones should step up against Berto
I agree, or even Mosley if Shane intends to hang around. Just because Jones eventually managed to get a win over Karass doesnt mean that he is ready for Pac. Jones needs to fight…
