Mike Jones-Randall Bailey Likely on Pacquiao-Bradley Bill

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Mike Jones (26-0, 19KOs) vs. Randall Bailey (42-7, 36KOs) is going to land on the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley pay-per-view undercard on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Jones-Bailey will have the vacant IBF welterweight title on the line. The championship became vacant after the sanctioning body ordered Andre Berto to defend the belt against Bailey, who held the mandatory position. Berto dropped the title in order to finalize a rematch with Victor Ortiz - which is going to happen on June 30th in Las Vegas or June 23rd in Los Angeles.

Jones will win and hopefully Bob Arum will dare to put him in with Kell Brook at the end of 2012. Never mind chasing Pacquiao, that fight will not sell.

i dont really see the issue with this fight. sure its not a step up, but it is an interesting title fight nonetheless. jones has a shot at a belt and bailey gets another chance, basiley is a gatekeeper anyway,…
