Mike Alvarado-Vernon Paris on Point For April 16 Bout

BoxingScene.com was advised that a battle of undefeated junior welterweight contenders, Mike Alvarado (28-0, 20KOs) vs Vernon Paris (24-0, 14KOs), will take place on April 16 as the Showtime televised co-feature to Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Orlando Salido. Before he gets to Paris, Alvarado faces Dean Harrison this coming Saturday on the Fernando Montiel-Nonito Donaire undercard at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
I mentioned Vernon as one to watch years ago. I reffed a few of his amatuer bouts and then saw him as he turned pro and such. If Vernon is in good condition for this bout he should win this…Comment by MD! on 02-17-2011
