Miguel Vazquez Signs Three Year Extension With Zanfer

By Rafael Soto

Zanfer Promotions has announced that they have renewed their relationship with International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez, who signed a three year contract extension with their company. Vazquez had recently come on BoxingScene.com and announced that he was a free agent because his Zanfer contract had expired.

"It is an honor and a privilege to have a fighter like Miguel Vazquez in our ranks. Vazquez is a champion inside and outside the ring, a great fighter and a good person, young, dedicated, very professional, and represents the future the boxing industry, "said the president of Zanfer Promotions, Fernando Beltran.

Miguel Vazquez (28-3-0, 12 KOs) won the IBF title in September 2010 in Laredo, Texas by dominating dangerous puncher Korean Kim Ji Hoon over ten rounds and already made two dominating defenses.

"I am very grateful to Zanfer, Fernando Beltran and Juan Carlos Torres (executive coordinator) for giving me the opportunity to contest for the world title and for giving me the opportunity to enter into a three year contract and I did not hesitate to accept it because Zanfer is the company to increase my position as world champion and take me to the big fights," said Vazquez.
