Miguel Vazquez Ready For Gesta on Pacquiao-Marquez

The long awaited fight is finally in place. IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (32-3, 13KOs) says he is "ready to go" against undefeated Filipino contender Mercito Gesta (26-0-1, 14KOs) on December 8th in Las Vegas, as part of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez HBO pay-per-view undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Vazquez retained his title on Saturday with a twelve round split decision over mandatory challenger Marvin Quintero.

Gesta needs to cut off the ring and utilize his strength and punching power to beat Vazquez. Miguel is a good boxer with good footwork, but he gets hit a lot, and does not have much pop. He also tired…
