Miguel Vazquez Inks Agreement With Al Haymon

IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (34-3, 13KOs) has signed an agreement with influential adviser Al Haymon. Vazquez last two fights were staged on Top Rank cards, but Vazquez is not under contract with them. He is, however, under contract with Top Rank's partner in Mexico, Zanfer Promotions - at least until October. Vazquez last fought in February, when he won a twelve round decision over previously undefeated Denis Shafikov.

Since the start of the year, Haymon has been boosting his stable with fighters being signed from featherweight all the way to heavyweight. Some of Haymon's fighters include Floyd Mayweather, Adrien Broner, Adonis Stevenson, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Sakio Bika, Deontay Wilder, Omar Figueroa, Leo Santa Cruz, Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Erislandy Lara, Amir Khan and about 50 others.

Best news for HBO is that with Miguel Vazquez signing with Haymon, they will no longer have to even think of televising his fights #boxing— Steve Kim (@stevemaxboxing) June 29, 2014
