According to former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs), he will be meeting with several promoters in the coming days to start the selection process for his next fight, scheduled to take place on December 1 at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The Puerto Rican superstar returns from a twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th.
"We will meet with several companies, with people who can make the next event possible," Cotto said.
Possible candidates incude WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and WBO interim-middleweight chamion Hassan N'Dam Njikam. Cotto is undefeated at MSG. All three of his career defeats, to Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather, have taken place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
