WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will continue to retain Emanuel Steward as the head trainer of his team. Cotto was very pleased with the adjustments Steward made to his style which led to the nine round TKO victory over Yuri Foreman at Yankee Stadium on June 5. Cotto wants to return in a very big before the end of the year and Steward will be by his side. Steward is the longtime trainer of WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

"Emanuel is definitely going to remain with our team. He helped me to improve as a boxer. He helped everyone in the [training] camp," Cotto was quoted by Golzka.
Berto? First of all he will beat Berto, and Berto is also at 147.....Cotto also wants big fights now and Berto wont bring any money in. Bring on Margarito
If Cotto made 2 million fighting Yuri Boreman, am sure there's enough money to go around for a Cotto vs Berto ...

Smart move. Steward knows Cotto's flaws and looked like he did a good job with him in the Foreman fight. That win is overrated, but it did show Cotto can be a good boxer at the higher weight. Cotto just needs to learn to clinch and move his damn head. Steward should be able to work that out.

Good move for Cotto. With his renewed focus on boxing and a treainer that actually knows what he's doing theres no stopping team Cotto.
