WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) is still without a finalized date or a finalized opponents but those details should be worked out shortly, according to his legal adviser, Gabriel Peñagarícano.
The only thing certain is that Cotto will return on an HBO date in June, likely at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Some of the names being mentioned to face him include Timothy Bradley, Brandon Rios and Cornelius "K9" Bundrage.
"There is nothing finalized, although we are specifically working right now on the next fight for Miguel. I'd rather keep [the names of the potential opponents] confidential, but certainly there are several names [we in talks with] and I think very soon we will have an announcement," Penagaricano told El Vocero.
"I do not know whether to call this week a crucial week, but we are going through the process of tying up a big fight and we are reaching that goal."
