Complejo Deportivo Inalámbrica, Merida, Yucatán, Mexico - Miguel "El Alacran" Berchelt had the most impressive showing of his career with a second round TKO of Filipino Weng Haya, gaining a stoppage at 2:57. This was the same Weng Haya who nearly shocked then WBO featherweight world champion Orlando "Siri" Salido, who went down twice and had to come from behind to win. He started punishing Haya in the first and put him down. He followed up in the second round and finished him off. Berchet has his undefeated record to 19 wins, with 16 knockouts, while Haya drops to 17 wins, nine knockouts and now six defeats.
