According to promoter Yvon Michel, middleweight contender David Lemieux (25-1, 24 KOs), 22-year-old, has learned a lot after spending some time in the Oxnard, California training camp of Sergio Martinez, who is recognized as the best at 160-pounds. Martinez is training for his October bout with Darren Barker, while Lemieux is getting ready for a fall return, which is the young fighter's first return to the ring since the shocking seven round TKO loss to Marco Antonio Rubion in April.

"The last time I spoke to David, he was greatly impressed by Martinez. Martinez gets up at 5 am to go running in the mountains before going through several rounds of sparring. David and Martinez sparred on several occasions and [David] received the famous left that sent Paul Williams to the mat. But what excites me the most in all of this is that David was able to compete with Martinez," Michel said.

"A lot of people forget that David is only 22 years old. What happened last April against Marco Antonio Rubio is not the end of the world. Far from it."
hahahahhahahahahaha....Lemieux must be wearing a football helmet and Martinez must have on 22 oz. gloves.
The truth is that Lemieux has more power than Martinez, Lemieux's problem is that he's only 22 and he wasn't serious enough in his training, that's why he ran out...
