Two undefeated Mexican ring warriors are ready for war when they clash with talented Filipino fighters in ‘PINOY PRIDE X” at the air-conditioned Hoops Dome in Lapu Lapu City on Saturday, December 10th.

The storied rivalry between the Philippines and Mexico will continue when IBF International featherweight champion Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista who is ranked No. 5 in the world trades punches with Miguel Angel “Terry” Mendoza, the 27 year old Mexican with a frightening record of 17 knockouts in 17 fights with no losses and 1 draw.

The 25 year old Bautista who has a record of 31-2 with 23 knockouts is an exciting fighter willing to engage his opponents and although Mendoza hasn’t beaten any fighter of note, he is considered a brawler who is expected to go for broke against Bautista, the reigning IBF International champion in order to make a name for himself.

In the main supporting bout on the ALA Promotions – ABS-CBN presentation, Marcos “Geraldito” Cardenas battles promising Genesis “Azukal” Servania, the sweet-punching 20 year old with an unbeaten record of 15-0 with 5 knockouts. Cardenas is also undefeated with a record of 12-0-1 with 9 knockouts.

In his last fight Servania won a unanimous eight round decision over veteran Gerson “El Nene” Guerrero who had a record of 34-8 with 26 knockouts while Cardenas scored a ten round decision over Christian Hernandez last September 30.

Bautista is coming off two impressive victories this year. He scored a rousing 3rd round knockout over Alejandro Barrera last January 29 and followed up with a 7th round technical decision to avenge an earlier eight round unanimous decision loss in a rematch against Heriberto Ruiz to win the IBF International crown.

Mendoza won by a 4th round knockout in a scheduled ten round bout against Cesar Gutierrez last June 11.

In a fight that may well steal the thunder from the main events rugged  Romeo Jakosalem (15-4, 8 KO’s) will go for the vacant Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation light welterweight title against Pan Soo Kim otherwise known as “Duran Kim” of South Korea who has a record of 11—2-1 with 7 knockouts.

Pan Soo Kim won the vacant Korean title with a 1st rund TKO of Chan-Hee Park on October 31, 2010 but lost by a 5th round TKO in an OPBF title bout with Japan’s Motoki Sasaki.

There was a huge crowd at the public-press preview last Saturday in Cebu indicating a sell-out crowd at the fight card which will be spiced up with by the clash between OPBF flyweight champion Rocky “The Road Warrior” Fuentes (29-6-2, 17 KO’s) and  Thailand’s Lookdiaw Tor Buamas, a tough southpaw with a record of 7-2 with 4 knockouts.

The fight card will be telecast by the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN.
