BoxingScene.com caught up with strength and conditioning coach Angel Heredia shortly after Keith Thurman's unanimous decision victory over Robert Guerrero at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Heredia answered many questions on the upcoming Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao super fight, which takes place on May 2nd at the MGM Grand. In his opinion, Mayweather needs to enter the ring in better shape than he did for his previous two fights, both against Marcos Maidana in 2014.

"I think after the Maidana fight Floyd knows he needs to be in better shape for May 2nd. He knows he needs to be more conditioned. You need to be 100% or 200% to fight Manny. Manny is a volume puncher and throws a lot of punches," Heredia explained.

As for Mayweather's chances at scoring a stoppage victory, Heredia said that it is possible - but that Mayweather would have to work in increasing his power in his training camp.

"Mayweather is super fast but I haven't really seen him punch anybody hard. I haven't seen him throw any heavy punches like he used to back in the day. Maybe that is something he needs to work on, punching power, instead of just relying on speed because now you are going to have two guys going at it with speed. Speed versus speed is going to be more difficult for the judges to tell the winner. Pacquiao is explosive and accurate. Floyd doesn't waste punches. He throws and connects but I think it's possible. It's only about 8 weeks till the fight but he will be able to (train for it)," said Heredia.
