Melvin Gumban Faces PBF Champ Tabamo in Bohol

Melvin Gumban holds a perfect professional record of 12-0 but the 22 year old faces one of the toughest tests of his career tomorrow night when he takes on Marjun Tabamo in the main event of Tunay Na Lakas Boxing in Bohol.

Tabamo is the former PBF Flyweight Champion and is 8-1-1 as a professional with his only loss coming at the hands of Marco Demecillo in a fight for the GAB Super Flyweight Title last September.

Gumban, who hails from Escalante City, is one of the up and coming stars of the ALA Boxing Gym while Tabamo trains under former WBC Super Featherweight champion Rene Barrientos.

Gumban vs Tabamo is set for ten rounds in the super flyweight division. In total there are seven fights on the card which is promoted by ALA Boxing and gets underway at 6:30pm in Tagbilaran City.
