Chantelle Cameron’s WBC super lightweight world title defense has unfortunately been postponed after she suffered an injury. Undefeated Cameron (13-0, 7 KOs) was set to make the first defense of her world title against mandatory challenger Melissa Hernandez on March 20, but the fight is now unable to take place on that date.
Melissa Hernandez, a Miami Beach resident, won six world titles and in 2016 hung up the gloves due to her frustration with the inequality in pay in comparison to male boxers. She never lost her love of pugilism and continued to train without knowing what fate was going to bring.
