Conor McGregor's boxing coach says he has no doubts the UFC star will beat Floyd Mayweather when the two combat stars collide.
The fight has been met with excitement among fans but criticism from boxers, including Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya, who branded it an "embarrassment" before plans were finalised.
"I have no doubt in my mind he's gonna do it," Owen Roddy told The MMA Hour on Tuesday. "I think it's gonna be one of the most insane nights ever."
While the majority of fans and pundits are giving McGregor next to no chance, Roddy points to previous times the Irishman has performed 'miracles' as evidence as to why he can beat the boxing legend.
"It's a tall task," Roddy said. "But if anybody could do it, Conor can. "He shocks the world every time. Every time he fights he's doubted, people are like, 'You can't do this, you can't do that.'
"We know what Conor is capable of. Conor does it every time."
But Roddy doesn't just think McGregor will win, he thinks the UFC superstar can score a knockout.
"I think he’s gonna put him away," Roddy said. "I think he’s gonna KO him. I think it'll take a couple of rounds. And I know my phone is about to explode, I'm sure. But look, Conor does these things. He does these exceptional things all the time.
"If he says he's gonna go in and knock him out, I think he's gonna go in and knock him out."
The fight takes place on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
