McDaniel-Todd Tops Card at Legendary Landmark Hotel

(Metairie, LA) -- Les Bonano and The Fight Guys return Professional Boxing to the Legendary Landmark Hotel, 2601 Severn Ave, Metairie, LA on THURSDAY June 6, 2013 at 7:30 PM.

The main event will feature Marcus McDaniel from New Orleans, 8 Wins 0 Losses VS Tristan Todd from Memphis Tennessee 8 Wins 2 Losses. This is going to be a tremendous battle in the Middleweight Division. Two fighters in the prime of their career reaching up to become a rated fighter.

The Landmark ballroom will be electric with excitement just as it was on May 22, 1986 when Hall of Famer Evander Holyfield scored a 5th round knockout over Holly Mims on his way to becoming World Champion and reaching the stars of the Boxing World.

McDaniel’s goal is to bring World Class Boxing back to New Orleans and to become a World Champion and a mentor to children in times of need. Marcus is an athlete who desires to be a role model.

The co-feature will pit females Sydney LeBlanc from Gretna, LA 2 Wins 0 Losses 1 Draw VS Latasha Burton, from Houma, LA in a 4 round Super Middleweight bout.

James Harrison, New Orleans 2 Wins 2 Losses and 1 Draw will fight Asa Dalphone, from Navarre Beach Florida 3 Wins 0 Losses 4 rounds in the Jr. Welterweight Division.

Regis Prograis, New Orleans will put his 4 Wins 0 Losses up against the more experienced Adauto Gonzales 10 Wins 8 Losses from Austin Texas.

The big boys, Heavyweights Bobby O’Bannon from Mobile, AL 10 Wins 5 Losses VS Terrance Marbra from Dade City, FL 6 Wins 3 Losses.

Making a return to the Ring Will McIntyre is set to make a run at another Title Fight. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff is out to prove he can get the job done.

LEGENDARY LANDMARK: Back in the day the Landmark had several television promotions and many World Champions such as Heavyweight Olympic Champion, Tyrell Biggs, Middleweight Champ Buster Drayton and Heavyweight Bonecrusher Smith. The local stars also won many titles. Paul “The Wicked One“ from Metairie won the North American Boxing Championship and defended it on CBS. Melvin Paul won the ESPN Lightweight Championship. Dominick Carter won the IBA Lt Heavyweight Title on ESPN in Texas. Will McIntyre won the NABA Super Middleweight Title and Aristead Clayton won the WBU Bantam Title.
