According to the Las Vegas Sun, Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s bench trial in Las Vegas over an alleged November incident with a security guard has been postponed until late April. Mayweather didn't appear in court for his scheduled misdemeanor battery trial. But his attorney, Karen Winckler, asked Judge Janiece Marshall for the trial to be continued. Marshall set the trial date for April 25 in Las Vegas Justice Court.
A security guard has alleged that a confrontation took place on November 15 outside Mayweather's Southern Highlands home over parking tickets. Mayweather faces a six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine if convicted on that charge.
On March 10, Mayweather will have a preliminary hearing on eight misdemeanor and felony charges stemming from a September 9 confrontation with his former girlfriend, Josie Harris. Mayweather could face up to 34 years in state prison if he's convicted of all charges.
