Floyd Mayweather Jr. probably won’t fight in Atlantic City again before he retires.
Mayweather will, however, appear there Friday night for what’s being billed as a pre-New Year’s Eve celebrity celebration at Harrah’s Resort. “Floyd Mayweather: Money Ball” is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Friday at “The Pool After Dark,” a popular club inside Harrah’s.
According to promotional materials, the event will include something called the “World’s Biggest Money Drop.” For tickets, which start at $35, to the Mayweather party at Harrah’s, call 800-745-3000.
The 35-year-old Mayweather (43-0, 26 KOs), who dominated the late Arturo Gatti during his last fight in Atlantic City 7½ years ago, is expected to return to the ring May 4 in Las Vegas, probably against Robert Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs, 2 NC).
