Moments ago, Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) posted on his official Twitter page that a deal was reached to fight WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"I chose my opponent for September 14th and it's Canelo Alvarez. I'm giving the fans what they want. It will be at the MGM Grand," Mayweather wrote to his 4 million followers.

Earlier this year, Mayweather signed an exclusive six-fight agreement with Showtime. He returned on May 4th at the MGM Grand and won a twelve round unanimous decision over Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero.
