Mayweather To Receive $40 Million Guarantee For Ortiz?

By Edward Chaykovsky

Although not confirmed, multiple sources are reporting that five division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to receive a guarantee of $40 million dollars to face WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz on September 17, likely at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The financial figure is being spread like a forest fire behind closed doors in the boxing industry. The number is astronomical, with Mayweather obviously receiving the bulk of the money involved with the promotion. The Mayweather, who co-promotes the HBO pay-per-view event with Golden Boy Promotions, will be crossing his fingers to receive a record buyrate figure to make the show a huge financial success.

Looks like this n*gga shouldn't have problems paying the IRS when the time comes. I wonder what 401K plan they're giving this kid Ortiz.
