WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) briefly spoke with UK paper Daily Mail about the possibility of facing British star Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) in 2015. Khan is scheduled to fight on December 6th and Mayweather returns on September 13th against Marcos Maidana in a rematch. In a recent interview, Khan stated that his old Wild Card stablemate, Manny Pacquiao, would present a tougher match than Mayweather.

'He (Amir Khan) knows that the fight between us can still happen,' Mayweather said to Daily Mail. 'He is an exciting young fighter - but I don't just fight anybody - they have to prove themselves. If you ask me will the fight happen - then I would say yes. I hope next year - but these fights are always about timing.

'I saw the comments where he thought Manny would give him a tougher fight than me. I have no response to that. I will just remind him of those comments after I have beaten him.'
Put your obvious dislike of Floyd aside and maybe Ramadan will come to mind. More importantly, this is business and TIMING is everything. Khan doesnt DESERVE a fight with Floyd, however, if the TIMING is right, meaning that from a business aspect everything is in alignment, th...
Canelo Cotto in May.
If MW fight Khan, this fight is going to knock him off his pedestal for PPV king if they fight on the same night.

Floyd, just fight Maidana, chose his gloves, the ring size, have the ref in your pocket and ride off into the sunset. No one wants to see you against Khan, and you are afraid of Pac...just move on.

If Khan fights and beats Brook in December the fight with Floyd will happen.
