· 954 percent room booking increase: The number of rooms booked for May 1 or May 2 on Vegas.com increased 954 percent from February 19 to February 20.
· Two-star hotels such as El Cortez and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino see $200 room rate increase: Room rates for 2 star hotels for the weekend of May 1 and 2 are up around $200 compared to the average Saturday night.
· 568 rooms booked in two days: A total of 568 rooms for May 1 were booked on Vegas.com’s website on February 20 and 21. As a comparison, only 52 rooms were booked for May 1 on the two days previous (February 18 and 19).
