It could be just another promotional ploy to convince consumers that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not taking his fight against Conor McGregor as seriously as he should.

However you view it, it is without question optimal marketing for his newly opened strip club in Las Vegas, released right before a week that is expected to draw thousands upon thousands of high-rollers and boxing and mixed martial arts fans to “Sin City.”

Mayweather announced through his Instagram page late Thursday night that’ll he’ll meet and greet fans at the Las Vegas strip club he owns every day for the next week-and-a-half. The boxing superstar added that he’ll answer any question fans ask him at Girl Collection, marketed as an upscale gentlemen’s club.

Mayweather has 16.4 million followers on Instagram. His home page features a link to his strip club’s website (www.girlcollection.com).

Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) is completing training camp for his August 26 showdown with McGregor at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Showtime Pay-Per View; $99.95 HD). The 40-year-old Mayweather is heavily favored to beat McGregor, a top mixed martial artist who’ll make pro boxing debut against the undefeated five-division champion.

One of Mayweather’s greatest strengths throughout his Hall-of-Fame career has been his ability to train as if every opponent is a legitimate threat to beat him. The Grand Rapids, Michigan, native has mentioned throughout this training camp, though, that his body has taken longer to recover due to his age and that he has had to train smarter.
