Mayweather Boxing + Fitness Readies For Launch in Los Angeles

Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, a best-in-class fitness experience modeled after the most dominant boxer of all time, today opened early enrollment for its flagship location on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Fitness enthusiasts of all ages looking to train like the Champ can take advantage of special, pre-opening rates by enrolling now for one of the various membership offerings. The studio will feature Floyd’s favorite training tools - jump ropes, ab rollers, free weights, cardio equipment, boxing bags, a boxing ring, pull up racks and more – and opens for business in January 2018.

Mayweather Boxing + Fitness will quickly expand beyond its flagship location given its unique and scalable business model, through domestic and national territory partnerships.

“I wanted to create a training platform that builds on everything I’ve learned from the sport of boxing, and develop it as a group program for gym-goers who want a differentiated and more effective workout,” said Floyd Mayweather. “The programs are based on the routines that helped me stay at the top of the boxing world for 21 years – and I’m excited to share those with anyone who wants to train better to become fitter, stronger and healthier.  We’ll build Mayweather Boxing + Fitness locations in neighborhoods all over the world, especially in underserved communities similar to where I grew up. Everyone should have access to first-class fitness offerings, and that’s our goal here, starting in Los Angeles.”

Mayweather Boxing + Fitness members can enhance their fitness regimens through various group fitness, boxing and training programs and classes, inspired by Floyd, featuring his favorite workout methods, such as:

HIIT: Build cardio endurance and muscle strength through a challenging, full-body, interval training circuit program

Boxing: Apply your boxing skills in a group class and/or private setting while getting in the best shape of your life
Youth Boxing: Empower youth with confidence, strength, discipline and determination through healthy workouts guided by specialized coaches
Personal Training: Receive hands-on instruction through all modalities, including weight/strength training, mobility and boxing technique workouts

Mayweather Boxing + Fitness will launch its Gloves Over Guns youth program at the flagship location, utilizing the gym to provide mentoring and coaching to young people in schools that are negatively impacted by gangs, crime and peer pressure. Gloves Over Guns will offer an accountable, school-linked service that combines life skills and physical training programs, aimed at reducing at-risk students' tendencies to commit crimes and improving their opportunities for long-term success.

Additionally, in 2018, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness will launch a mobile app and in-home Virtual Reality experience – both featuring Mayweather himself – to maximize the number of people who can access a first-class training experience. Through this holistic offering, Floyd will be, for the first time ever, revealing his training and fitness methods that helped him become the most successful boxer in history.

Special pre-opening rates are available now through December 20, 2017. Call 424-320-3212 or visit the enrollment center in the lobby of the flagship location:

I think it's a pretty cool idea. Who wouldn't want to train like a legend? Looking forward to the app when it comes out.
