| Mayweather Apologizes, Frustrated With Recent 24/7
|
|
By Chris Robinson There is a pretty heavy buzz surrounding this Saturday’s junior middleweight title bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBA champion Miguel Cotto, set to go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on HBO pay-per-view. And while the fight will likely serve as the biggest event this year, the undefeated Mayweather seems less than enthused with how HBO’s acclaimed 24/7 series has been portraying him in camp. The Emmy Award-winning series sets the standard when it comes to giving viewers an inside look at selected fighters in preparation for their upcoming contests, yet Mayweather couldn’t stop himself from venting his frustration after seeing the third 24/7 Mayweather-Cotto episode last night. Speaking to his legion of followers on Facebook and Twitter, Floyd issued the following. “I want to apologize to all my fans and viewers who watched 24/7 last night. I wasn't pleased with this week’s episode of 24/7. Me and my film team are providing Bentley Weiner with exciting content which she is not using. We really needed the producers from Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 to come back to HBO give the fans and viewers more excitement.” True enough, last night’s episode wasn’t too captivating, yet there will likely be a strong finish with Friday night’s showcase given the anticipation for the Mayweather-Cotto fight. I only watch the first episode of this 24/7 and even then I had to skip through Floyd's parts.
Like I said last week, it is becoming more of a Kardashian's reality show, than a sport's show program.
Some of you might like that, not my thing personally.
And LOL Floyd thinking he is a T.... |
