Mayorga vs. Ortiz Rematch is Set For December 14th

By Elisinio Castillo

Former two-division world champion Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga (0-2-1 in Mixed Martial Arts), who lost a three round split decision to Sergio "Checo" Ortiz (2-1) in a Mixed Martial Arts encounter in San Jose, Costa Rica on October 13, has secured a rematch that is going to take place on December 14th in Mannagua, Nicaragua.

This will be Mayorga's fourth Mixed Martial Arts battle. Mayorga's first MMA clash was eventually ruled a no-contest after the Nicaraguan boxer landed an illegal blow on the opponent. On July 28th, Mayorga only lasted a 1:40 of the first round when he was choked out by Rene "Level" Martinez (5-0-1) in Managua.
Is there anyone......ANYONE that clicked the title and didn't assume they were talking about Victor Ortiz and Mayorga?
I can honestly say I didn't. And I thought Mayorga had won 1 of his MMA fights.
