Former two-division titlist Ricardo Mayorga picked up his second straight win since returning to the ring earlier this year. The latest came Saturday evening at home in Managua, Nicaragua, where the 41-year old forced Mexico's Andrik Saralegui to quit after four rounds.

Coming in at a fleshy 171 lb., the bout was little more than means for Mayorga to continue to shake loose the cobwebs following a ring absence of more than three years. The comeback began in September, scoring a 1st round knockout over an upside down clubfighter in Oklahoma, with the bout barely lasting a minute.

The aged ex-champ was given some rounds against an equally wild and undisciplined Saralegui, with the bout marred by frequent clinching and fouls. Mayorga took it upon himself to call an unofficial timeout anytime he felt he was fouled, whether hit low or behind the head.

Through the antics came a fun moment towards the end of round four. Mayorga saw an opening and unloaded a flurry of overhand shots upstairs, eventually flooring Saralegui late in the round for the bout's lone knockdown.

Saralegui (7-2, 5KOs) managed to beat the count, but was in no condition to continue. His corner informed the referee that the visiting challenger was unable to come out for round five.

Mayorga moves to 30-8-1 (24KOs) with the win, though where exactly this comeback is heading isn't immediately clear. His last fight of relevance came in March '11, suffering a 12th round stoppage at the hands of then-154 lb. titlist Miguel Cotto.

The loss continued in a tradition of lose one, win one over the course of his past 9 fights to that point, beginning with his narrow points loss to Cory Spinks in their World lineal welterweight championship way back in 2003. Knockout defeats to Felix Trinidad, Oscar de la Hoya, Mosley and Cotto followed, with little more than a decision win over Fernando Vargas in '07 his lone notable achievement over the past 10 years.

The bout aired live on Canal 6 in Nicaragua, and also streamed live on the network's website
