The quiet atmosphere of the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport in Nicaragua became a chaotic scene after former world champion Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga showed to up to confront his next opponent, Wesley Tiffer. Mayorga makes his Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) debut on May 3 at Pharaohs Casino in Managua.

Tiffer was arriving to the country a little early and did not receive the welcome he expected, when Mayorga was there to greet him with insults and challenged to fight him in the airport.

"I wanted to make sure with my own eyes that you were coming," said Mayorga, 40. "Look at me, I'm at 164 pounds. I just need to lose four pounds and I'm ready to win. I'm really angry. I'm from the country where women give birth to real men. You'll get a reputation for the beating that I'm going to give you. I am the world champion. I will punish you and knock you out. Come on!"

Meanwhile, Tiffer and his coaches were amazed with the scene.

"I do not expect to see him here. He is probably my biggest fan and he hasn't said anything intellectual. We are only a week away and you will get a clear account of what he can do in MMA. I'm not afraid. There is no way that he can win. I'm going to close his mouth," said Tiffer.

This guy is not even an MMA fighter. Mayorga could very well win this fight. The guy he's fighting doesn't even have a record. If he is a grappler by trade, of course there is the solid possibility he gets Mayorga to the ground and taps him. The guy may also just be a complete cab driver, too. H...

[QUOTE=PRchamp]I remember seeing Mayorga at Miccossukkee casino in here in Miami. Me and my brother talked to him for about a good 15 minutes about the Trinidad fight, giving him thanks for making the Madison Square Garden arena pop off after he offered his chin to Tito in the 1st round and his f...
