We recently welcomed junior welterweight Lucas Matthysse (31-2, 29KOs) to BoxingScene.com's official audio show, The Boxing Lab. The hard hitting Argentine has only two defeats on his record but many observers feel that he did enough to pull out wins against Zab Judah and Devon Alexander. Matthysse said that he would love to have a rematch Alexander, who has since moved up to the welterweight division.
"I don't think I lost those fights. On paper it may say that but I don't think I lost them. I definitely want a rematch with Alexander. I don't know if Judah is going to continue fighting but I know a rematch between Alexander and me would be a great fight," Matthysse stated.
Matthysse faces undefeated Nigerian Ajose Olusegun (32-0) on Saturday in a fight televised by Showtime. Wary of the questionable decisions he has received on U.S. soil, Matthysse said he doesn't plan on leaving the final verdict to the judges.
"I think I won those fights but this time I'm training for a knockout. I'm not going to leave it to the judges. I'm going to win this fight and the title for my country,"
