Matthysse To Train With Team Martinez For Alexander

BoxingScene.com was informed that junior welterweight Lucas Matthysse (28-1, 26KOs) is scheduled to arrive in the United States in order to train in Oxnard, California with Pablo Sarmiento, the trainer of middleweight king Sergio Martinez. Mattyhsse is preparing for his fight with former IBF/WBC champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13KOs), which is scheduled to take place on June 25 at the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. HBO will televise the fight.

I wish it was Gabriel Sarmiento training Matthysse. Still I like Lucas' chances to score an upset.

hopefully he learns a couple things from the martinez camp, cool to see them working together. pablo is sergio's assistant trainer though, his brother gabriel is the head coach. gabriel is dealing with legal issues though, so i guess pablo…
