Polish cruiserweight contender Mateusz Masternak (30-1, 22 KOs) has stated that his training sessions are going very well with his coach, and former super middleweight contender, Piotr Wilczewski. The former European champion recently parted ways with his trainer Andrew Gmitruk. Masternak is looking to regroup and come back in a very strong way after suffering the first loss of his pro career, am eleventh round TKO at the hands of Grigory Drozd on October 5th in Moscow, Russia - which took place as part of the Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Povetkin undercard.
