Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz has advised BoxingScene.com that former champion Marvin Sonsona (16-1-1, 13KOs) will face Orlando Cruz (18-2-1, 9KOs) on July 6th in a featherweight fight at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The card will be televised by ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

In the co-feature, heavyweight prospect Magomed "Mago" Abdusalamov (14-0, 14KOs) will defend his WBC United States (USNBC) heavyweight title against Maurice Byarm (13-1, 9KOs).

Also, middleweight prospect Bastie Samir (10-0, 10KOs) will return for the first time since a lackluster draw against Lester Gonzalez in April 2011.
