WBC middleweight champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) wants to shut the "big mouth" of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs), who continues repeatedly to ask for a rematch.
Martinez won a twelve round decision over Chavez on September 15th of last year. After the fight, Chavez tested positive for marijuana. It was the second time in the Mexican boxer's career that he tested positive for a banned substance.
"Chavez is a loudmouth. If he accepts the doping tests, and I will as well, then everything will go smoothly. If he agrees to take the tests, then I will confront him anywhere. That's all he has to do. As long as he agrees to doping tests, the fight will be made. Chavez Jr. loves to talk. He talks a lot and all he does is screw up. He just has to stop talking so much," Martinez said.
Because of the positive result for marijuana, Chavez received a nine months suspension and a fine of $900,000. He will likely return to the ring in June, while Martinez takes on Martin Murray on April 27th in Argentina.
