Marroquin-Diaz Card Called Off Due To Ice Storm

By Rick Reeno

Top Rank's Lee Samuels has advised BoxingScene.com that Saturday's UniMas card, which was going to featured a revenge match between Roberto Marroquin (23-3, 16 KOs) and Daniel Diaz (20-5-1, 14 KOs), was called off due to a bad storm in the area. The Dallas airport was shut down and the roads are not drivable due to ice. The WinStar World Casino felt it was best, for the safety of all involved, to push the card back. Top Rank will reschedule the card to the early part of 2014.
