Marquez's Trainer Taunts Pacquiao, Demands $25 Million

Speaking from the Romanza gym in Mexico, trainer Nacho Beristain taunted Manny Pacquiao when he advised BoxingScene.com/NotiFight.com that Top Rank and HBO would have to place a sum of "$25 million on the table" for a fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. It was hard to tell if Nacho, fired up by last Saturday's decision, was actually serious, but more than likely it's a negotiating tactic to secure the highest purse possible for his boxer.

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquiao won a controversial twelve round majority decision over Marquez, and the boxing world had been debating over whether or not the right man won. Top Rank would like to make an immediate fourth fight.

"That only shows that they realize Juan Manuel had a clear win over Pacquiao. Otherwise, they wouldn't show this much interest [in making a fourth fight]. They have Pacquiao, the goose who lays the golden eggs and produces a lot of money, but this past Saturday he became a plucked chicken," Nacho said.

Regarding his previous threat to file a lawsuit against the official judges, Nacho said he still plans to pursue that path.

"We want to do that because there is a precedent in New York, where the court decided to root out corrupt judges for life. They are judges who had their licenses canceled forever," Nacho said.

I thought Nacho can count only up to $30,000.....are we sure he's demanding such a difficult high number to count?
