Mexican fans are anticipating a real battle on Saturday night when former champions Rafael Marquez (41-7, 37KOs) and Cristian Mijares (46-6-2, 21KOs) collide for the vacant WBC silver super bantamweight title at the Arena Cuidad de Mexico in Mexico City.
Daniel Zaragoza, the hall of fame trainer of Marquez, predicts an impressive knockout victory for his boxer. Marquez has already revealed that he plans to retire if he doesn't defeat Mijares this weekend.
"My prediction is certainly a knockout win. I want to relaunch Marquez, as a fighter, with a knockout [victory]. We are confident that there will be a huge [attendence for this fight] because people know the value of this bout. [Rafael] is in great shape. He is in a good mood and his weight is fine. The knockout is something that comes, but he is prepared to succeed in any fashion," Mijares said.
