Marquez's Trainer: In 52 Years, The Worst Robbery Ever

By Ernesto Castellanos, notifight.com

Nacho Beristain, trainer of Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6-1, 39KOs), is still shocked with last Saturday's twelve round majority decision loss to Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112, but many ringside observers felt Marquez did enough to win. Nacho has already spoken to his lawyers and there may be legal action against the three judges.

"In the 52 years that I've been in boxing, I've never seen a robbery like this. The three judges who issued the results are unworthy of being in this sport. We are studying the possibility that through our lawyers we are going to file a complaint with the court against the three judges, with the intention that they be separated from boxing for life. And also  to explore the possibility that the same court could overturn the result. I think there is enough evidence to win the case."

Nacho reflected: "We thought about things, and Pacquiao is the man who attracts millions of dollars. This is why he can not lose. When Juan and Pacquiao climbed into the ring and the bets were 12-1 in favor Pacquiao - if Marquez was given the fight - the losses would have been huge for the casino. There was no justice."
