Marquez Says Pacquiao KO Could Put a Close on Career

By Miguel Rivera

WBO jnior welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KOs) is of the opinion that a knockout victory over Filipino rival Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KOs) would be a classic closer to a Hall of Fame career. Marquez, 39-years-old, will meet Pacquiao for a fourth time on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. After three controversial endings, Marquez wants to prove who is better.

"I want to knock him out. I know I can do it, athough I know that it won't be easy. I want to have my hand raised to prove which of us is the better fighter. I've already beaten him three times and had those victories taken from me. A knockout is the only way to take [the decision] from the judges' hands. If that [knockout] happens, it could be the perfect moment [to retire] but we will see what happens," Marquez said.

Marquez may need to consult with Margarito to score a knockout of Pacquaio. Ain't gonna happen with plain ol' Clitoryes gloves.

[QUOTE=Grimgash;12567552]Name one 154 lb fighter that Manny has ever faced... Cotto is 154 lbs so thats irrelevant but he's got a fight with Trout coming up which is a tough fight. Floyd fought Cotto at 154... also Oscar at 154...…
