Marquez Says Bradley is in The Running For Next Fight

By Ernesto Castellanos, notifight.com

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) has confirmed that WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) is high on the list for his next fight.

A few days ago BoxingScene.com published an article where Marquez expressed his desire to capture a fifth world title in a fifth weight division and said the WBO title was his target. He felt the title should have been his in 2011 when he lost a controversial majority decision to Manny Pacquiao. Marquez felt the judges robbed him.

"For a long time Badley's name has been mentioned to fight me, and he should be [mentioned] after gaining that victory on Saturday night," Marquez said.

The Mexican icon will decide his next opponent in April after negotiating with promoters Fernando Beltran and Bob Arum.

If Marquez has punching power able to knock out PACQUIAO, I shudder to think what that punch could do to anyone else, especially Bradley. He has the ability to stay on his feet, but he doesn't really have the ability…

Marquez vs Bradley does 500,000 or more PPVs. Marquez keeps 70%, Bradley 30%. So Marquez does around $7,000,000 +, Bradley $3 million +. Pacquiao vs Rios does around the same, no way he does even close to 1 million ppvs…
