Mexico City - WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has begun light training at the Romanza Gym with trainer Nacho Beristain. He expects a third fight to happen with Manny Pacquiao on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He gave Golden Boy Promotions until Monday afternoon to match the lucrative offer from Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank.
According to Marquez, he doesn't expect Golden Boy to match the offer, and his lawyer is already planning to fly to Los Angeles on Tuesday to meet with Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum to finalize the details for the Pacquiao trilogy. Marquez is still going to return to action on July 2 in Mexico City and wants former champion David Diaz as the opponent.
