MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, NV - BoxingScene.com and other members of the media caught up with Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez as soon as his weekly show on ESPN Deportes wrapped up taping.

The 42-year-old, who is officially 1-2-1 against Manny Pacquiao in their four fight series, was very impressed with his former adversary's performance against Timothy Bradley in their trilogy bout.

"I thought it was an incredible fight.  Pacquiao proved he is still a great fighter.  He looked very good. Manny Pacquiao showed that he is aggressive and hungry.  I don't know why he would retire - maybe for his family or politics," said Marquez.

As for his future plans, Marquez, who has been out of the ring for nearly two years since defeating Mike Alvarado in Los Angeles,  said that he isn't interesting in facing newly crowned WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas and that he would prefer to face Puerto Rican star Miguel Cotto, who like Marquez is a former four division world champion.

"Jessie Vargas is a good fighter but for me it is more interesting fight with Cotto. Cotto's legacy is a great legacy too.  Two legends in the ring and maybe the people want to see the fight too. (Vargas) has the belt but legacy is the most important thing for me," Marquez revealed.

The Mexico City, D.F. native said that he would like to first have a summer tune up fight before possibly ending his career against Cotto.
