Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) is planning a very active and rapid approach to his upcoming fight with WBO welterweight beltholder Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Marquez recently started sparring and felt a little slow in there. He wants to pick up the pace, day by day, to combat the speed of the quicker Bradley.

"I expect a tough, difficult fight. I have studied Bradley very well, and I know I'll have to prepare myself thoroughly. For this fight started training three months ago, but today I started the sparring sessions. I felt slow, but I have plenty of time to be at my best. With Bradley I will develop a plan to combat his peed. I'll be throwing combinations of punches five or six times in a row, use lateral movement to cut off his exits, and throw counters. This meeting is a new challenge - beating Bradley and winning another world championship in different divisions," Marquez said.
