According to sources on both sides, there are ongoing negotiations between Top Rank and Main Events to finalize a junior welterweight fight between Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39KOs) and Zab Judah (42-7, 29KOs) for July 14th at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Marquez holds the WBO's interim-title.

Earlier today, Judah was present in the press room at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and appears to be confident that a deal will be closed for a fight with Marquez.

Judah would return from a one-sided ninth round TKO win over previously undefeated Vernon Paris in March, while Marquez won a twelve round unanimous decision over Sergey Fedchenko on April 14th in Mexico.

Zab "Nine Lives" Judah strikes again. This guy keeps coming back to life every time you think his career is dead. I see Zab doing what he always does when the bright lights come on which is lose probably by decision. Edit - Nevermind thought this was a new thread.

I think Judah presents style problems for JMM.
