Promoter Gary Shaw has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that Marcus Johnson (22-2, 16KOs) has withdrawn from a scheduled light heavyweight fight with Edwin Rodriguez (24-1, 16KOs). The exact reason for the withdrawal has not been confirmed at the present.

Rodriguez-Johnson was going to be part of an HBO televised tripleheader on May 24th. The card is now going to be a televised doubleheader. Daniel Geale (30-2, 16KOs) will face Matthew Macklin (30-5, 20KOs) in a high stakes middleweight fight, and undefeated heavyweights Bryant Jennings (18-0, 10KOs) and Mike Perez (20-0-1, 12KOs) will battle in a WBC final eliminator.
