Marcos Maidana (35-4, 32 KOs) believes he can make the necessary adjustments to defeat WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather (46-0, 26 KOs) on September 13th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather won a majority decision over Maidana in May.
Mayweather promises to adjust for the rematch and says Maidana is not capable of switching up his style.
"(Mayweather) can obviously change and get better, but I can change and get better too. The only thing he can do is box and that's what he did in the first fight. He was moving a lot. What is he going to do? Move more?," Maidana asked.
The upcoming fight will only be the second time that Mayweather takes part in a rematch, but for Maidana it will be the first rematch of his career.
"This is the first time in my career that I'm doing a rematch. It can be a little bit of both. You can argue that it can be hard, but at the same time we know each other so it can be easier," Maidana said.
