Marcos "El Chino" Maidana, the world welterweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), took over the role of Santa Claus. He loaded his vehicle with gifts and took them to the pediatric ward of the Central Hospital of Reconquista, Santa Fe in Argentina. Maidana surprised several children who were suffering from various ailments.

"If I can help, I'll be happy to do so. These guys are fighting in very difficult situations, and to do something for them, however small it may be, to make them happier at least at this point in time, is a pleasure," Maidana added.

Maidana (35-3, 31 KOs) is coming off his resounding victory, by way of a unanimous decision, over previously undefeated Adrien Broner on December 14 in San Antonio, Texas.
