Is the Super Champion about to switch camp? All that’s on Marco Huck’s (38-2-1, 26 KOs) mind is his upcoming bout against mandatory challenger Krzysztof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KOs). The reigning WBO World Champion is facing the polish fighter at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on August 14th, giving his US debut. As the fight is only two weeks away, the German Cruiserweight is training hard but every now and then he has to get away from the strict schedule to clear his mind. One of these welcome distractions led him to the President of the UFC, Dana White.

The pair met during an event of the world biggest organizers of MMA fights.

“I was invited to a UFC fight”, said Huck. “Afterwards Dana and I talked about my next fight and a possible career with the UFC. As this is one of the fastest growing organizations in professional sports it could be an interesting option.”

And White himself is convinced that Huck would prove to be a real success.

“Marco is an incredibly entertaining fighter”, reveals the president. “In addition to that he is a former kickboxing world champion. He knows therefore how to beat opponents using his legs. I am certain that he would be a force to be reckoned with and he would help in making the sport even more popular in Germany.”

But whoever fears that the champion might switch the squared circle for the octagon in the immediate future can relax.

“For now I am fully focused on Krzystof Glowacki”, ensures the 30 year old his fans. “I don’t know what the future holds the only thing I do know is that I still have a lot of things I want to achieve in boxing.”
