Marco Antonio Barrera to Face Allakhverdiev in Moscow?

According to, which refers to Team Allakhverdiev, one of the best Russian junior welterweights, Khabib Allakhverdiev (15-0, 6KOs), will possibly face Mexican icon and three-division world champion Marco Antonio Barrera (67-7, 44 KOs) in his next fight. The contest is being tentatively scheduled for next spring in Moscow, Russia.

According to Allakhverdiev’s manager, a lucrative offer was presented and the great Mexican veteran is very interested in the fight. Allakhverdiev, 28, formerly an amateur standout, is coming off a technical decision over ex-lightweight king Nate Campbell in September.

i haven't heard much from barrera lately,has he given any interviews saying what it is that he wants to do? does he have a particular champ he wants to face or what
