Marco Antonio Barrera to Face Allakhverdiev in Moscow?

By Grigory Stangrit (Allboxing.ru)

According to Allboxing.ru, which refers to Team Allakhverdiev, one of the best Russian junior welterweights, Khabib Allakhverdiev (15-0, 6KOs), will possibly face Mexican icon and three-division world champion Marco Antonio Barrera (67-7, 44 KOs) in his next fight. The contest is being tentatively scheduled for next spring in Moscow, Russia.

According to Allakhverdiev’s manager, a lucrative offer was presented and the great Mexican veteran is very interested in the fight. Allakhverdiev, 28, formerly an amateur standout, is coming off a technical decision over ex-lightweight king Nate Campbell in September.
